It is utilized for rotor blades, wheels, fasteners, and other structural components in gas turbines. Rocket engine thrust chambers make heavy use of inconel X750. Thrust reversers and hot-air ducting systems are two examples of airframe applications. INCONEL X-750 is used to create large pressure vessels. Test machine grips, extrusion dies, shaping tools, and heat-treating fixtures are more uses. In the subzero to 1200°F range, INCONEL alloy X-750 is used for springs and fasteners.Different heat treatments are used, depending on the application and the desired qualities. For service above 1100°F, especially for long-term loads to be sustained, solution treating (2100°F) + stabilization treating (1550°F) plus precipitation treating (1300°F) yields the best results. Precipitation treatment after hot or cold working, or precipitation treatment after equalizing or solution treating, can strengthen the alloy for service below 1100°F. For some applications, the best qualities are also developed using a furnace-cooling procedure.
